LARABA will host a special meeting to discuss the AD BID’s dissolution and options for next steps.
Please bring your questions and ideas to the meeting. If you are interested in being part of the working group to resolve concerns, please
sign up here. Currently there are 22 people signed up to participate.
Business and Property Owners who are interested in sponsoring a trash bin can sign up here. The City will provide a can or can’s with the understanding that the sponsor will be responsible for emptying and removing the trash each day. CD 14 has placed the AD on fast track for receiving those bins. Thank you in advance to all the businesses that have stepped up so far.
If Graffiti is noticed, your can shoot us an email atlarabadtla@gmail.com. Please include the specific location and a photo if you can. If you would prefer to go through the City, you can submit an online request here.
The Dog Park is and will stay open during regular hours, however for now, the trash bin is being removed until a permanent solution is put in place. This will mean those with dogs will need to take their “leavings” with them. Bags will be placed in the dog park to accommodate this.
New SLO, Officer Chris Jarvis, has been made aware of the situation and has requested increased patrols. It has come to our attention that members of the community were under the false impression that they were safe to walk unescorted between the hours of 12:00 and 5:00am. This is not nor has it ever been the case. Please always use caution when walking home at any hour. Please also remember to remove ALL items from view in your car at all times.
Whether you are for or against the dissolution of the ADBID, the Arts District is still our home and we need to support and do what is needed as we move into this new phase.
We strongly urge all interested stakeholders to attend this meeting. Everyone should be involved.
